What is a Smartcard?

The LuxTrust Smartcard is a device in form of a chip card. The card allows to authenticate and to perform qualified electronic signatures that are recognised equivalent to handwritten signatures.
The validity of a Smartcard certificate is three years.

Attention:  The Smartcard reader is not supplied with the LuxTrust product.
