Why do I need to identify myself?

Every time you apply for a new paper ID document, you are required to prove your identity by different means. Similarly, creating your digital identity requires prior identity validation. So, for security and legal reasons, we must ensure that the person is who s/he says to be before we equip her/him with a certificate linked to her/his digital identity.
