PRIVATE certificates are issued on behalf of an individual as a private person.

This means that the certificate holds only information about the person itself. Any transaction made with this certificate, whether it is an authentication or an electronic signature, is made in the name of the private person.

PRIVATE certificates are strictly for private use, as for example online banking or for governmental procedures at "MyGuichet".

Information: Certificate holders can use PRIVATE certificates for professional use if his employer and the applications allow it.
