What is a Smartcard?

The LuxTrust smartcard is an electronic certificate in form of a card.

Used with a card reader, the smartcard can for example perform so-called advanced and qualified electronic signatures.
The validity of a Smartcard certificate is three years.

Attention:  The smart card reader is not supplied with the LuxTrust product.
