The LuxTrust Scan offers you the highest level of security for your online transactions, wherever you are when you connect.
Linked to your LuxTrust digital identity (certificate), the LuxTrust Scan is a physical device that provides you with a one-time password (OTP). Combined with a User ID and password, this OTP enables you to securely log in to applications and perform operations requiring a digital signature.
The data entered during a transaction carried out on your banking app or on a computer online is encrypted in the form of a QR code.
The LuxTrust Scan is an electronic device with a screen and camera function that can scan this QR code in order to generate a one-time password (OTP). This device decrypts the transaction data and displays it for final validation (“What You See is What You Sign”, or WYSIWYS).
To connect to an app, enter your LuxTrust User ID and Password, then scan the QR code displayed in the app. The device then generates the OTP to be entered online in the dedicated OTP window (e.g. in your online banking) for final validation of the transaction. LuxTrust will log you in only if all three of these elements are entered correctly.
If your bank allows access to its mobile banking app via LuxTrust Scan, you will be invited to obtain this LuxTrust device. If this applies to you, you should place your order directly with your bank. |
