Linked to your LuxTrust digital identity, the LuxTrust SmartCard is a device that helps you prove your identity in the digital world. It is a key component of strong authentication mechanisms, enhancing the level of security for your online activities.

You will use it to authenticate securely on websites and applications; to pay your taxes or fill in administrative forms on governmental websites.

How does it work?

Whatever you are using your SmartCard for, there are 2 pre-requisites:

  1. Connect your SmartCard to your computer. You either insert it in the dedicated slot or into a SmartCard reader (purchased separately on www.linsys.lu or www.conostix.lu or in the approved POST shops). LuxTrust guarantees the compatibility of its products with any of these readers: IdBridge CT30; IdBridge CT40; Ezio Shield Pro. 
  2. Install and keep your Middleware up-to-date. To learn more about this software and why it is required, go here.
